Aanya arrived at the Singhania mansion at exactly 7:45 AM, fifteen minutes before her official start time. Sister Mary had always taught her that punctuality showed respect, and she desperately wanted this job to work out. Not just for the generous salary that Savitri Dadi had quoted—though that would finally let her send money back to Little Stars Orphanage—but because of the little boy with the bright smile who'd hugged her like she already belonged.
